Scarecrow Festival

UEA weekend and no plans for us.  So, McKade spent the day with Riley along with Kian while I worked a couple of hours at Real Deals.  Then we all went to the Scarecrow Festival together.  This is put on each year by West Ridge Academy (formerly known as the Utah Boys Ranch).  Our plan was to go to Gardner Village but we heard it was busy so I suggested this to Kelly and it was right by her home.  It only cost $20.00 for our entire car load to get in and the kids had fun.

Kian also loved the cool shades that McKade won and was nice enough to let him wear.

We even met Sean Bradley who is the Vice President of West Ridge Academy and ex Professional Basketball Player.  At 7 ft 6 inches I am pretty sure he was taller than the kid walking around on stilts.  He was a very nice guy who tried to hold Saige but Saige was to chicken but not Kian, he loves even tall white guys!!  In the picture is Kian, Sean, McKade, Riley and Saige.

The kids ended the day playing on the playground and even Emery got in on this action.

A fun day for a great cause.  I kept thinking man my program needs to hold a fundraiser like this one!!

**P.S. when we were kids we lived right by the Utah Boys Ranch and when one would run away we hid a few out in the school yard behind our house in the huge black tires.  We gave some kids some food and blankets.  I guess you could say we started young helping kids at least we thought we were helping back then, ha ha...
