These are the images that I will hold in my heart forever from Grandpas graveside service. My Grandpa was awarded the Purple Heart while serving in World War II so it was only fitting that he should have a military service at his burial. When the hurse pulled up and the two men were saluting it, my heart was touched, also to watch all Gramps grandsons as the casket bearers again touching, to see the flag draped across his casket, to hear the young man play his trumpet and to watch as they folded the flag and presented it to my beautiful grandmother, all will leave lasting impressions on my heart and soul. The words that were laid to rest with his body in this sacred place. What a special day, very emotional, but what a tribute to this great man.
