Yo was the only girl to play on this league. You could tell

the other teams could not stand to lose to a girl, get out by a girl,

scored on by a girl and so on. We told Yo she needed to work

it when she got up to bat. Here is one of the moves we thought

she should do. She was a great sport and FUN!!

Lone Wolf & Wolfie

McKade golfed with Wolfie almost every weekend this summer.

Wolfie gave Mc the nickname Lone Wolf.

He hated it at first but now he loves his nickname.

This summer our family drove clear to 108th South and Redwood Road every Monday for Jeff to play with his friends in the South Jordan Softball League. They started the season off pretty slow losing the first few games. I don't know what happened but all of the sudden they started playing well and winning. So, last week they went to the play offs and lost once (only because the guys had a whole hour in between games to hang out on the grass and drink beer). Yesterday they played in the championship game and WON!! It was a fun summer for me and Mc. Mc loved going to the games and playing with the kids. He did learn some things I am not thrilled about but it was funny non the less. After every game all Jeffs buddies would hang out on the grass and drink beer. McKade loved hanging with the guys and chatting, etc. Last night he went up to Wolfie and said "Wolfie are we going to drink beer on the grass?" When Wolfie said "Yes Lone Wolf" Mckade cheered. I overhead Wolfie telling the story and chuckled. I had to make sure before we left that McKade understood that beer was not something we drank. He knew this and told me it was bad but he liked hanging with the guys. Oh but don't forget Yo, she had to step up to the plate when not enough guys would show up to play. She did great!! Fun summer, fun friends, funny to watch these guys play!!
