First Days Home

It was so nice to be home with Kian and start our lives together but I won't lie, it wasn't the easiest adjustment.  I mean the flight to China is crazy you miss a whole day and on the way home you live the same day twice its just NUTS!!!  So, we got home close to 9:30PM and luckily dinner was in the oven thanks to my wonderful mother.  Sterling and his family came over and Jen and Brian Berrong came over.  It was so great for everyone to meet Kian and lots of tears were shed, mostly by me.  So, we didn't get to bed until close to midnight.  Well, Kian didn't like his new crib the first little bit and would not sleep.  So we were up all night until 7:30am when we finally made it to bed until 10:30am.  Getting used to US time may take a few days.  Other than sleeping Kian did great!!

The Berrong kids made us this darling Welcome Home sign.  It is so cute especially the diaper on the "O".

McKade did great with bringing home a new baby but couldn't handle all the visitors taking time away from hm and Kian together.  So on Monday and Tuesday after returning home we decided to ask visitors to wait a few days until McKade had some time with his brother.  This worked and after two days Mc was fine with people coming and going and him and Kian had fully bonded.

At Christmas we got Kian a little bike and kept it wrapped until he got here.  My mom bought Kian tons of stuff to get us ready for China but we kept the toy from her wrapped as well.  Today we invited over grandma and had our little Christmas with Kian.

Kian liked the paper best of course.  It took a couple of weeks to get Kian interested in toys.  I guess when you have never had something it takes awhile.  He was so interested in food but one he finally got full he realized there were other things in this world.
